WORK REPORT:

Scrub Bashing - Removal of Hawthorn to allow regrowth of rare plants such as Adders Tongue Fern

"Adders Tongue Fern" Latin name: Ophioglossum vulgatum.
Size: Grows to a height of around 100mms.
Distribution: Found mostly in southern England. Quite rare.
Habitat: Found mostly on damp grassland.
Special features: This plant is considered a good indicator of ancient meadows.

Thinning the wooded area to create glades.
