WORK REPORT:

Today has been an excellent task. Many many members came, some on their first task, some on their first for a while. We saw Gareth who made it from Sheffield and our Patron, Wildlife Artist, Linda Wain with her husband Kevin.

The task today, planting 21 trees for our 21 years as an active group, coincided nicely with the end of National Tree Week. Additionally, in keeping with our theme of renewal, we were replacing part of an avenue of Beech which is being attacked by disease which affects the mature tree, those trees being about 250 years old.

As there were a lot of volunteers on task the trees were planted by lunchtime, and as all of the trees were planted by individuals who were planting theirs for personal reasons, we plotted their location.
