WORK REPORT:

The day started a bit gloomy and we were expecting rain, luckily we had some hardy volunteers who were willing to risk it for a bit of fresh air and exercise.

The conditions were appalling (look at the picture for an idea how bad the mud was!), but the DCV enthusiasm won out (along with some words of encouragement? from ranger Edward) and we cleared a large area of hawthorn.

On Sunday, despite the hangovers and tiredness a slightly smaller group managed to clear an equally large area just below the area cleared on Saturday. We sensibly avoided the mudbath left over from Saturday and managed to finish the day without getting completely filthy again.
